Backed stool widths and depths above show the woven seat (seagrass or paper cord). Round Top seats are 13½″ in diameter. Seat size describes the sitting surface, not the overall stool footprint.

Will it fit under your surface?
Measure floor to the lowest underside of your counter, apron or support. Compare that with seat height and leave room for your thighs and any cushion.
As a general starting point, 18″ stools suit many 28–30″ surfaces, 24″ stools suit approximately 36″ counters, and 30″ stools suit approximately 42″ bars. Your actual measurements decide the fit.
Will the seat fit you?
Compare seat width and depth with a chair you enjoy using. Consider the support of a back, the feel of wood or woven seating, footrest position and the room between neighboring stools.
